Sen. Gatchalian thanks PE2, other partners for support through 2019

PASAY CITY, 19 December 2019 – The secretariat of the Senate Committees chaired by Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian thanked the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2), and other government, civil society and private sector partners in the energy, education and economic development sectors for support and cooperation through 2019 during a thanksgiving luncheon hosted by Sen. Gatchalian in the CCP Complex earlier today.

Government representatives included Sec. Alfonso G. Cusi and Asec. Robert B. Uy of the Department of Energy, Sec. Ernesto M. Pernia of the National Economic and Development Authority and Sec. Leonor M. Briones of the Department of Education.

PE2 was represented by its president Alexander Ablaza. Meralco, one of the active PE2 members, was represented by its vice president Lawrence S. Fernandez and regulatory liaison officer Mark Anthony T. Delumen, who is also a member of the PE2 Policy Committee.

Sen. Gatchalian chaired the Committee on Energy and Committee on Economic Affairs during the 17th Congress, and currently chairs the Committee on Energy and the Committee on Education in the 18th Congress.

In Sen. Gatchalian’s letter to the PE2 president, he said, “I would like to express my appreciation for the support you have rendered the Senate Committee on Energy this year.”
