TAGUIG CITY, Philippines, September 16, 2026 — Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance (APEIA) Chair and Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) President Alexander Ablaza told waste-to-energy (WTE) and biomass power market stakeholders earlier today that innovative capital investment models for industrial WTE and biomass power projects, such as energy service company (ESCO) performance contracts and energy-as-a-service (EaaS) agreements, now exist in the Philippines as alternative means of raising project capital for projects implemented behind-the-meter of industrial establishments.

Energy Efficiency Day 2024 is the fourth edition of PE2’s annual event to engage a whole-of-society response toward mainstreaming energy efficiency as the economy’s first fuel.
Hear champions from the private, government and development sectors share their views on the country's pathway toward a net zero future through scaled-up energy efficiency deployment across all end-use sectors.
The Energy Efficiency Day 2024 conference will be held from 9:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday, 20 March 2024 at Conference Hall F3, Level 2, SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

MAKATI CITY, 27 August 2026 - The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) offered cautious optimism for the energy efficiency market but offered six policy and market recommendations should the economy desire to quickly achieve scale in the short term. PE2 offered these views as industry partner of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines’ (ECCP) 15th Energy Smart Forum earlier today at the Dusit Thani Manila.
