PE2 supports regional energy start-ups

PASAY CITY, 21 May 2019 – The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) actively supported an international clean energy innovation platform, Enrupt, during the Energy Innovation Arena of the Future Energy Show held by Terrapinn in SMX Conference Center on 20-21 May 2019. PE2 president Alexander Ablaza was invited to join a 4-person panel of judges to select the most viable and market-ready start-up short-listed for the competition. He likewise delivered a brief presentation on the need to roll out “outside-the-box” business models as the country market prepares to help the economy implement the recently approved Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.

The Future Energy Show Philippines 201, in partnership with Enrupt , an open innovation company for the energy sector, hosted an innovation arena showcasing start-ups designing and building solutions that are transforming the future of energy. The innovation arena is structured as a platform that will offer an opportunity to connect fast-paced entrepreneurs and their innovative solutions with industry players attending the event.

Eligible start-ups included those involved in the following market fields: digital transformation, decentralized and off-grid systems, clean energy (renewables, energy efficiency), energy storage, new frontier technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT), smart grid, and smart city.
