PE2 supports ABB Technology Day
TAGUIG CITY, 8 August 2024 – The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) was invited by PE2 member ABB Inc to share the Alliance’s views on emerging technologies, future trends and innovations in energy management, and policies that will help shape the future of property management in the Philippines during the ABB Technology Day event, held earlier today at the Marquis Events Place.
PE2 president Alexander Ablaza joined a panel discussion with a theme, “Data-Driven Solutions and Future Trends in Energy Management for Property Managers” alongside ENPAP 4.0 President Rachel G. Aurelio, green property developer Slater Young, and ABB global energy distribution specialist Jae-Jun Lee. ABB global technical promotion specialist Job R. Mayo IV served as panel moderator.
Ablaza said, “The power of digital technologies to both improve end-use efficiency and system efficiency ultimately benefits the overall energy system through avoided investments in energy infrastructure (such as peaking plant), improved integration of renewables, and enhanced energy security, amongst other impacts.”
The PE2 president also explained that the role of energy service companies (ESCOs) is becoming more and more reliant on digitalization. He explains, “The implemented services and improvement measures of an ESCO are based upon a holistic analysis of the users’ energy and resource demand, against financially and technically viable alternative energy source and resource efficient low-carbon technologies, and/or energy management systems.”
Ablaza congratulated PE2 member ABB for a successful stakeholder event.
