PE2 members promote EE anew in the country's largest energy event

PASAY CITY, 24 May 2018 – Members and officers of the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) actively promoted energy efficiency again during the Power and Electricity World Philippines 2018 event held from 23-24 May 2018 at the SMX Conference and Exhibition Center in this city. The organizer of the annual event, Terrapinn Pte Ltd of Singapore, has entered into a partnership agreement with PE2 for the inclusion of energy efficiency (EE) in what they market as the “Philippines’ largest energy event.”

Under the agreement, PE2 was able to promote the Alliance through an exhibition booth set up by PE2 vice president for external affairs Ruth Yu Owen with the support of PE2 treasurer Theresa Acedillo-Lapuz. PE2 was also able to nominate speakers in the event:

  • Conference plenary panel “Philippine Leaders’ Panel” – with PE2 president Alexander Ablaza joining Eric Francia of AC Energy, Deon James of Dagupan Electric and Wilfredo Bacareza of Infunde Development.
  • Conference session on “Innovative Finance for New Technologies” – with PE2 president Alexander Ablaza as moderator
  • Conference roundtable on Energy Efficiency – with PE2 president Alexander Ablaza as moderator
  • EE on-floor seminar presentation of Raymond Marquez on “EE: Deep Dive Vs Low Hanging Fruit”
  • EE on-floor seminar presentation of Martin Ruby on “Facilities and Energy Management through IOT Platform”
  • EE on-floor seminar presentation of Conrado P. Acedillo Sr. on “Sustainable Cooling for Commercial Buildings through A/C Innovation”
  • EE on-floor seminar presentation of Marnie Tolosa on “Energy Management through IOT and Big Data”

Ablaza said, “The Alliance thanks the officers, trustees and members who have enthusiastically supported PE2’s active participation in the Terrapinn event. I was even surprised to receive the support of Congressman Romero, who pledged support of the House of Representatives toward the EE&C bill, when he shot a question to me during the conference plenary panel discussions. The officers and Luigi were all encouraged by the number of booth visitors who expressed interest in possible membership in the Alliance. PE2 also thanks Hi-Cool Engineering and Upgrade Energy for lending Melrose and Aiko to assist Luigi in promoting PE2 during the exhibition.”
