MAKATI CITY, 2 September 2020 – The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) met earlier today member companies of the Chongqing Energy Research Society (CERS) which have indicated interest to learn more about energy efficiency (EE) opportunities in the Philippine market. PE2 attended a CERS-organized follow-up meeting after its initial meeting in Manila on 29 March 2019.

PE2 was represented by its president Alexander Ablaza, its vice president for external affairs Theresa Acedillo-Lapuz and member services and communications manager Luigi Eusebio. The CERS delegation was led by its Executive Secretary-General, Ma Dingping, who introduced the three-member firms, Jinyuyun Energy, Tanva Lighting, and Zhengzhou Hanfa New Energy.

Jinyuyun Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established in March 2017, positioning itself as an innovative technology service enterprise focused on the digital transformation of enterprises in the energy sector. It has grown its artificial intelligence capabilities through close cooperation with the University of Karlsruhe (Germany), Institute of Global Energy Interconnection, and research units of the Peking University. Jinyuyun has been awarded a large quantity of patents and qualifications, and its products have been applied in over 20 cities all over China.

Tanva Lighting and Zhengzhou Hanfa New Energy commonly offer 50,000-hour rated LED lighting solutions for both outdoor and indoor applications, digitally-connected lighting systems, and solar street lighting systems. Hanfa also excels in solar photovoltaic systems, EV charging solutions, and energy storage technologies. Hanfa also offers a healthier alternative for indoor lighting, which it has successfully installed in classrooms in China.

Hanfa announced that, as a result of successful installations of solar street lighting systems in Manila and Davao, it will soon establish an office and warehouse facility in Manila to cater to the Philippine market demand for their LED and other energy technologies.

CERS is a 36-year old energy conservation organization based in the city of Chongqing, a sprawling urban center located in southwest China, with a growing population of over 30 million. Chongqing is one of China's four municipalities under the direct administration of the central government (the other three are Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin), and the only such municipality in China located far away from the coast. CERS has over 620 members, representing governmental institutions, scientific research institutions, energy service companies (ESCOs), and energy-consuming enterprises. The organization has conducted several training sessions for energy-consuming enterprises and has completed multiple research programs in the fields of energy conservation and low-carbon programs, technologies, practices, and services.
