Gatchalian, Velasco keep energy posts as 18th Congress opens, push more clean energy initiatives

PASAY CITY and QUEZON CITY, 1 August 2019 – The two energy committee chairmen from both chambers of the 17th Congress, who jointly sponsored the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) Act then, were re-appointed to lead the Committee on Energy as the 18th Congress opens its First Regular Session. Senator Sherwin T. Gatchalian was appointed Chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, while Representative Lord Allan Jay Q.

TAIPEI, 1 August 2019 – Joining 5 other member representatives of the Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance (APEIA) from China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) president and APEIA co-chair Alexander Ablaza visited one of two dozen manufacturing plants of Fusheng Industrial (FSI) on the sidelines of an international ESCO seminar hosted by the Taiwan Green Productivity Foundation (TGPF) and the Bureau of Energy of the Republic of China.

Ablaza brings PE2 and APEIA to int’l ESCO gab in Taipei

Meralco Power Up Forum [on Energy Efficiency & Conservation Law]

PE2 meets UK Prosperity Fund ESCO mission

PASIG CITY, 29 July 2019 – The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) met earlier today a visiting mission of UK Prosperity Fund’s ASEAN Low Carbon Energy Programme (LCEP) to help the 5-country project design the appropriate policy interventions related to removing persistent market barriers impeding the growth of the energy service company (ESCO) industry in the Philippines.
